A complaint should not be confused with a formal grievance or appeal (i.e. 成绩上诉、纪律上诉). 的 College will direct 学生 to 的 appropriate policy for issues that are not complaints.

第九条
第九条 of 的 Education Amendments of 1972 is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on 的 basis of 性 in education programs and activities. 所有公立和私立学校, 大学, and universities receiving Federal funds must comply with 第九条. 等级申诉
If a 学生 wishes to appeal a grade or academic decision, he/she must first meet with 的 faculty member to discuss his/her grievance, or with his/her advisor in 的 case of change of academic status.

A 学生 may appeal a decision in a case for 的 following reasons (severity of sanctions, 正当程序, 或新信息):

To determine whe的r 的 sanction(s) imposed were appropriate for 的 violation of policy for which 的 学生 was found responsible

To determine presence of any procedural error which substantially affected 的 outcome of 的 case

To determine if new information that is discovered which was not available at 的 time of 的 investigative process could have affected 的 outcome of 的 case.
上诉程序
A 学生 wishing to appeal should submit his/her written appeal stating 的 reasons for such a request to 的 Director of Student Services within two (2) days of receipt of 的 original decision. 上诉截止到下午4:30.m. 在原判决后的第二天. 在案件上诉期间，制裁可能会生效. 上诉由主席或其指定人员审理. 主席的决定是最终决定.
残疾

Non-Retaliation
Retaliation against an individual who has reported a claim of illegal harassment and discrimination or who cooperates with an investigation in good faith is prohibited and will be subject to discipline up to and including termination of 就业 and/or dismissal from 的 College.
FERPA
的 家庭教育权利和隐私法 (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects 的 privacy of 学生 education records. 的 law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of 的 U.S. 教育部.
